Itinerary
Kick off your Morocco trip as we pick you up from your chosen location in Tangier, the city where the Mediterranean meets
the Atlantic. Our first stop includes the stunning Cape Spartel and the intriguing Hercules Cave. After lunch, we journey
inland to Chefchaouen, traveling through Tetouan and the scenic Rif Mountains. We’ll pause for breathtaking views before
settling in for the night at a hotel in Chefchaouen.
Start your day with a leisurely exploration of Chefchaouen’s charming streets. Our next stop is the ancient Roman ruins of
Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its fascinating mosaics and architecture. Following this, we head to
Meknes, an imperial city, to visit landmarks like Bab Al-Mansour and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. We wrap up the day
with a drive to Fes for an overnight stay in a Riad.
Post-breakfast, we embark on a guided exploration of Fes, a cultural and spiritual hub of Morocco. We’ll visit the Royal
Palace gate and enter the historic Medina through Bab Boujloud. Our journey includes stops at Medrasa Bouanania, the
Najjarine Fountain, and the world’s oldest university, Quaraouin. We also explore the Jewish quarter, the Mellah, and visit a
fortress for panoramic views of the city before returning to the Riad.
Our Morocco tour continues south after breakfast, with a visit to Ifrane, known as the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’. We then
explore the Cedars Forest, home to Barbary macaques, before heading to Midelt for lunch. The journey takes us through
the Ziz Valley to reach the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Enjoy a camel ride and a stunning sunset over the dunes before
arriving at a luxurious desert camp, where you’ll enjoy Berber music under the stars.
Spend the day uncovering the wonders of Merzouga. Visit an ancient eyeliner mine and meet nomads in their traditional
tents while enjoying Berber tea. In Khamlia village, experience Gnaoua music and dance. After lunch, stroll through a palm
grove and check out Merzouga’s wild lake, known for its flamingos, before returning to Merzouga for dinner and an
overnight stay
Rise early to catch a spectacular sunrise, then after breakfast, explore Rissani’s vibrant souk. In Erfoud, visit a fossil
workshop. We drive through palm groves to the dramatic Todra Gorges, perfect for rock climbing or a scenic walk. After
lunch, continue to the Dades Valley, stopping at the unique “monkey fingers” rock formation. Enjoy dinner and an
overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit the Rose Valley in Kalaa Magouna, famous for its annual festival. Drive through Skoura’s palm groves
and explore the Amredhyle Kasbah. In Ouarzazate, tour the film studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. Next, visit the iconic Ait
Ben Haddou Kasbah, a popular filming location. Continue through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains,
arriving in Marrakesh for the end of your trip to Morocco.
