7 Days Tour From Marrakech To desert
Today is all about seeing the famous sights in Marrakech! First up is the Menara, an old pool tucked among lovely gardens. It’s fed by a cool irrigation system from the 12th century. The tour will also include important spots like the Koutoubia Mosque, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace & Dar Si Said Museum of Jewelry. Your guide might suggest a cozy lunch in the Medina. Later, you’ll stroll through the colorful souks. As sunset approaches, grab a spot on a café terrace for a beautiful view of Jamaa El Fnna Square. The day ends with a delightful dinner back at your hotel.
day three, we say goodbye to Marrakesh. At 8 AM, we’ll hit the road to the High Atlas Mountains, home of Toubkal—the tallest peak in Morocco, standing at 4,167m! We’ll take the Tizi N’Tichka pass and enjoy stunning views along the way. We’ll stop for mint tea or coffee in one of the Amazigh hamlets too! Next up is Ait Ben Haddou village to check out its Kasbah—famous for its unique collective living style and labeled as a UNESCO Heritage site since 1987. This spot has been featured in many films (like The Man Who Would Be King from 1975). Located along historical trade routes, it played a key role in trade for slaves, gold & salt. We’ll enjoy lunch featuring local dishes here before heading to Dades Valley through Kalaat Magouna—famous for its roses (especially pretty in May!). Keep an eye out for charming Skoura Amazigh villages around too! Spend your first night here!
After breakfast on day four, we’ll set off driving through breathtaking rock formations (sometimes called “monkey toes”). You’ll admire how Kasbahs blend beautifully with nature—like Ait Yul from the 19th century! Next stop: Tinrghir region & Todra Valley with its fantastic views of surrounding Amazigh villages. In Todra Valley, we’ll take a walk by a river flanked by impressive red cliffs that soar up to 300m—perfect for rock climbers! Lunchtime could be either in Rissani or Erfoud—both are little oasis towns in the Sahara. After lunch, we’ll head toward Merzouga—the village known for its golden sands where you’ll get welcomed with refreshing mint tea and check into your hotel before riding camels to spend an unforgettable night under starlit skies in an Amazigh tent.
Early morning sunrise will be magical—you’ll get up early to see it shine over Merzouga’s golden sands. Shortly after that, we’ll ride back to our auberge for showers and breakfast—a tasty start indeed! Then it’s time to drive towards Ouarzazate! This cinematic gem is known as Morocco’s Hollywood! How cool is that? Take pictures near iconic filming sites along our route as we pass through various landscapes and villages like Errissani—where you’ll find the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif—the ancestor of Mohammed VI! Don’t forget to stop for lunch in one of those towns!
In the morning after breakfast, we’re off from Ouarzazate again! We’ll meet along our journey an amazing valley filled with roses—you’ll notice their beauty and smell especially in May. Next up is Ighram (the Fortified Village) of Ait Ben Haddou where lunch awaits us near this UNESCO World Heritage site—features lots of famous movie backdrops like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator to name just a couple! Next stop will be Tizi N’Tichka—a winding mountain road forested so nicely that you’ll want pictures there too! Finally, we return to Marrakech where you can spend your last night.
