music and dance under a starlit sky. Dinner and lodging are provided at the camp.
Rise early to catch the stunning desert sunrise. After breakfast, return to Merzouga on camelback, where your driver will be
waiting. Today’s agenda is dedicated to uncovering the wonders of the Merzouga region, from sand dunes and a wild lake
to fossils and lush oases, perfect for various outdoor activities.
Our adventure kicks off with an off-road visit to an ancient eyeliner mine. Then, we’ll meet the nomads in their woven tents
and experience Berber tea. The journey continues to Khamlia village for a taste of Gnaoua music and dance, performed by
residents with roots in sub-Saharan regions like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before a leisurely
walk through a palm grove. We’ll then drive to Merzouga Lake, also known as Flamingos Lake.
Conclude with dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel.
Wake up early to enjoy another beautiful desert sunrise, followed by breakfast. Return to Merzouga by camel, where your
driver will be waiting to take you to Rissani, the historic capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is a bustling trade center, especially on
market days—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After exploring the lively souk, we’ll head to Erfoud to visit a fossilized
marble workshop.
Our journey continues along the Ziz River, where we’ll pause for a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. Then, drive through the
